Since upgrading to TotalPoll 4.0.5, we’ve encountered constant problems with any poll that is set to have a start and end time. Specifically, it would appear that TotalPoll no longer sees either our system time or the WordPress time – and is using some random time zone. On our end, there appears to be no where to set this value in order to correct the problem.
This is causing further chaos with all of our polls – as any that have a start time set do not post – and further, they count UP – not down – from the specified start time to how long until it will be active. For example, today we had a poll set to begin at 4PM EST. At 4:03, it said the poll didn’t start for another three minutes. At 4:04, it said the poll didn’t start for another four minutes. Turning the start and end time limitations off makes the poll function – but obviously that’s far less than idea for a limited run poll set to open be open for 24 hours.
None of this was ever an issue in earlier versions of TotalPoll we used. Is 4.0.5 just broken? Do we need to downgrade to an older one in order to have reliable functionality?
